Natasha Ruge is a California native living in North Carolina. She received a B.A. in journalism from California State University, Chico, where she was managing editor of The Orion, a newspaper that was ranked No. 1 college weekly in the country by the Associated Collegiate Press. No, The Orion is not associatedwith ‘The Onion.’She was inducted into the ACP Leaders of the Student Press in 2002. Natasha was a public relations and marketing account coordinator at Straus Communications, where she worked with clients including Organic Bouquet, nSpired Natural Foods, and Bon Appetit Management Company. She also has experience as an event planner and small farm business coordinator. Before her move east, Natasha sold flowers and apples at the San Francisco Ferry PlazaFarmers' Market.
